Here's the birthday girl .. Laura - 40 on November 11th.
Happy Birthday my friend!

This Busy Life

Well, last weekend went very well. Busy, but productive. The wedding was beautiful, and of course being in Dallas with Jonna, Craig and little Stella was just awesome.

OK, now this weekend. I have to get busy. I have to get ready for my booth on Sunday at FeistyFest.. and also get this party started. Laura's 40th - my house-tommorrow night. Everyone dresses in black.

I hope I can get it all done. I had better stop writing and get to work.

Also-I know I haven't put all my animals on here yet. Here are a few more of my babies.

Friday Night-Exhausted

It's Friday night about 1130 pm - and I am freaking exhausted. Not to say I've had a bad day; I shopped, had lunch with the girls, got my haircut, shopped some more, then went to dinner with my nephew Trevor (way up in Round Rock in 7pm traffic). I feel like I could just fall asleep in this chair.

Oh, now I have to go pack for our trip to Dallas in the morning. Maybe I can sleep on the way.

So, that's all I have for tonight.
PS-This is Atticus..I feel he has not been properly represnted here. Stella was stealing the show. I thought I should give everyone the opportunity to see this little guy - my great nephew. Atticus James Wood. CUTE!

November -Wow How Time Flies.

Wow, its November already. I can't believe how time flies. It's so busy here, I can't keep up. This weekend I'm going to dinner with Trevor, Wes, Megan and little Atticus (nephews, wife, great nephew). Saturday we are on the road from Austin to Dallas to see Jonna, Miss Stella and Craig (pictured here-daughter and grandbaby Stella), but just until Sunday morning. Then its back to Austin for our friends Karen and Danny's wedding.

Next weekend, giving a party for our good friend Laura's 40th. Very exciting fun planned.

Sunday, I've been invited to participated in a festival to protest against a large WalMart being built in our city (Northcross Mall). I will post the flyer here in case any Austinites can make it.

All in all, an exciting beginning to November.

This is getting a little easier. I still don't know how to post pictures very well, or make this blog look exactly like I want it to, but I'll get there.
It's Sunday night, and I must get ready for work at the REAL JOB tommorrow.

Welcome to Novel Arts and Designs - Laurie's Blog

October 11, 2007
Hi. I'm Laurie, and this is my first post on my blog. How exciting.
Well, a little about me. I'm the artisan behind Novel Arts and Designs. I've been making beaded jewelry now for four or five years. It's become a passion. It would be wonderful if it became a little more lucrative for me, but until then, it relaxes me and makes me happy. I'll keep working on the lucrative part, it will come.
