You can put your Etsy widget in the sidebar and it will be there, showing pics of your work, all the time. It's fairly easy, cut and paste the widget code from etsy into an html page element.
You asked for critique (in the etsy forums). I'd say, find something to write about that people are interested in, so they will want to come back. Think about the blogs you like to read and read regularly, and think how you can put your own spin on it. I find blogs that are nothing more than a commercial for a person's etsy shop to be boring.
My wonderful sister-in-law Debra has created an etsy store with beautiful feather earrings.
Priced afforably from 3.00-10.00

I'm happily married, and love living in Austin. Someday in the near future, we may start building up on Lake Belton, and I would love to be part time by then. Driving an hour and 1/2 to work each day doesn't really appeal. I would rather double up for a few days, and have 4-5 days off a week. It would be awesome to live on the lake. We would be closer to Jonna, Craig and Stella, we'd be in the same town as Alan's parents, and we could play on the lake. Our Austin friends could join us on weekends and we would still try to keep up with everyone socially. But getting away from that airport and being happy-that's a great goal to have.
I love making jewelry, and it is starting to take off. If this were to enable me to reach my goals, I would be a very happy woman.
